Privacy Policy

This policy explains how 9495-2421 QUEBEC INC, operating the Windowly brand ("Windowly," "we," or "us"), collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit windowly.co, purchase a subscription, or use the Windowly application.

1. Information we collect

• Billing and account information: name, email address, billing address, subscription status, invoices, and limited payment details supplied through Stripe. Windowly does not receive or store your full card number.
• Website information: Cloudflare necessarily processes IP address, browser and device information to deliver and protect the site. Optional Google advertising measurement is loaded only after you choose “Accept” in our privacy banner.
• Support information: information you send when requesting help, including messages and diagnostic details you choose to provide.
• Application information: the Windowly app operates primarily on your device. Windows virtual machine files and files used inside Windows remain on your Mac unless you independently choose to upload or share them.

2. Why we use information

We use personal information to provide and secure the service, process subscriptions, deliver receipts and service messages, respond to support requests, prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations, and understand whether our website and advertising are effective.

3. Service providers and third parties

We disclose information only as reasonably needed to operate the service, including to:

• Stripe for checkout, billing, fraud prevention, invoices, and self-service subscription management;
• Cloudflare for website hosting, security, and delivery;
• Google for advertising measurement when its tag is enabled and applicable consent has been obtained;
• Microsoft when you use the embedded official Microsoft page to obtain Windows installation media.

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Information may be processed outside your province or country and may be subject to lawful access in those jurisdictions.

4. Legal bases and consent

Depending on where you live, we process information to perform our contract with you, for legitimate business purposes, to comply with law, or with your consent. Optional Google measurement is disabled by default. You may accept, reject, or later reopen “Privacy choices” in the footer. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already completed.

5. Retention and security

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above, including accounting, dispute, fraud-prevention, and legal requirements. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no transmission or storage system is completely secure.

6. Your choices and rights

You may request access to or correction or deletion of personal information, withdraw optional consent, or ask how your information has been used. Certain records may be retained where required by law. You can manage billing information and cancel a subscription through the Windowly subscription page.

7. Children

Windowly is not directed to children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 14 without consent from a parent or legal guardian, except where applicable law permits it. A parent or guardian should contact us if they believe a child has provided personal information.
